Repair Internet Explorer in XP

Method 1
* From the start menu select Run.
* Type in SFC /SCANNOW ( Note: There is a space between sfc and / )
* Follow any prompts throughout the System File Checker process
* Reboot the system when System File checker completes

Method 2
* From the start menu select Search then select "all files and folders"
* Select more advanced options and check to have it search for hidden files and folders
* Ensure that system & subfolders are also checked
* In the all or parf of the file name box type IE.INF
* Select C drive or the drive letter of the xp installation
* Click Search
* In the search results pane right click the find in the Windows\inf folder and select install
* Reboot the system when the file copy process is complete
