Create a password recovery disk



If you operate your system using login passwords then it may be wise to make yourself a Password Recovery Disk.

To do so:

1. Single click the start menu.

2. Go to control panel then on to User accounts.

3. Select your user account from the list.

4. On the left side of the screen click the "Prevent forgotten Password" entry.

5. At this point you will need to enter your current password which is why this is only good in a preventative manner.

6. The disk creation should begin now.

7. In the event you do forget your password come back to this screen and click on the green arrow and you will be asked to put in your password recovery disk.
